The boys wanted to start the day off with some Track & Field! The boys demonstrated social skills, oral communication skills, sportsmanship, motor planning, gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination when running 400m circuits!
Mr. Eric was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, and morning greetings. After our calendar work we met our new TA Ms. Rachelle. We had proper introductions and then each got up in front of the class to share our likes, i.e. favourite colour, food, toy, and television show.
After our morning routine and sensory break we practiced our lines and actions for Peter Pan. Everyone has done so well over the past few weeks remembering their lines, knowing where to be, who to interact with, and how to act. We are very excited for the big night!
Here are the boys engaging in some partner play while they wait to go on stage.
In Gym class today we continued Mr. William's new dodgeball game that was super fun. The only way players could get up after getting hit by a ball, was if another teammate knocked over a pylon that a had a ball on top. Also, if you did get hit and had to sit down, you were still able to throw a ball and get an opponent out if the ball bounced towards you. The boys demonstrated great auditory processing skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
After lunch recess we got the opportunity to watch St. Jude's Spring Play! Their theme was fairy tales and Disney classics. Everyone enjoyed the jokes, skits, and dance routines. This was followed by another rehearsal for our Peter Pan play.
Selfie!
Two of our friends needed a little movement break and got jiggy with it!
More Pan practice!
In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math, time, phonics and spelling skills, and balance and coordination.
Have a great evening gentlemen and see you tomorrow!
Mr. Jacob : )
