I cannot believe that we only have 7 school days left! Ahhhhhhh
We began the day by making a canon for our pirate ship in the play. The boys did very well helping me draw it, cut it out, paint, it, and assemble the canon.

Avery's "Duck Face" haha
After our art lesson we practiced our lines and actions for Peter Pan. Everyone has done so well over the past few weeks remembering their lines, knowing where to be, who to interact with, and how to act. We are very excited for the big night!
In Gym class today Mr. William created a new dodgeball game that was super fun. The only way players could get up after getting hit by a ball, was if another teammate knocked over a pylon that a had a ball on top. Also, if you did get hit and had to sit down, you were still able to throw a ball and get an opponent out if the ball bounced towards you. The boys demonstrated great auditory processing skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
In the afternoon we had Hands On Exotics come into our school. The boys had so much fun with their peers learning about new animals and interacting with them. They all did so well being patient, turn taking, asking and answering questions, and being gentle with the animals. We were introduced to a South American parrot, South American opossum, rabbit, guinea pig, cave spider, lemur, chinchilla, red kangaroo, sugar glider, Chinese chicken, bearded dragon, and a ball python!

At the end of the day we went over our Zones of Regulation and used different coloured blocks to symbolize how our day was, and how different times of the day went. We also got to share our own ideas and thoughts on how our day went, and took turns saying one nice thing about our friends from today's work. This was followed by some Partner Play!
Have a great evening gentlemen!
Mr. Jacob : )
