We began the day with some dance....nope not today! I couldn't believe it, but the boys wanted to complete a sensory obstacle course. Here they are working on their hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
Mr. Eric was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, morning greetings, and we looked at how much snow we will be getting.
In math today we completed our pizza party survey, looked at how many students we have, how many slices we need, how many slices in a pizza, and how may pizzas we need. Next, we will have to look at costs, delivery, or cooking our own pizzas. Everyone used great conversation, teamwork, fractions, numeracy, language, oral skills, writing skills, and number and letter formation.
The boys had an opportunity to have some shared play time with their friends. We had some fun making different robots and then measuring them to see how big they were, and if they could withstand a snowstorm!
Lastly, for gym, everyone took a vote, counted the votes, and decided to play some Freeze Tag. It was a lot of fun and everyone got along so nicely.
Enjoy the rest of the day friends and have fun in the snow! See you all tomorrow (weather depending!)
Mr. Jacob : )
