We began the day by completing a fun sensory obstacle course. Here we are working on their hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills,
proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
Mr. Zachary was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, morning greetings, and we looked at how much snow we got today.
In math today we looked a fractions using pizza, and showed Mr. Jeremy our game. The boys had to build pizzas using different sized slices (i.e. fractions), as well as complete a fun fraction game using life like pizza slices with fractions written on them. It was a lot of fun and made us all hungry! Haha Everyone played so well together and there were no arguments the entire game! : )
Here we are having fun in the snow!
After recess the boys wanted, yes wanted, to finish their fractions seat work. They all did so well not only completing the work, but creating their own unique fractions as well.
In gym today our friends chose to play Ball Tag. Everyone played very well together and they had fun while working on their hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
In social skills today we played several fine motor/math/hand-eye/visual Minute to Win It games in a relay-like fashion. We had a lot of fun with our friends in Ms. Andrea's class, and displayed some great teamwork and oral communication skills as well.
In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math, time, and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.
At the end of the day we made some cool super hero props for our super hero tomorrow! It was so much fun!
Have a great evening gentlemen!
Mr. Jacob : )
