The boys wanted to begin the day with some active sensory fun! No one wanted to do a sensory circuit or complete some Guided Dancing videos. So we decided to play some Scooter Ball Tag. We worked on our bilateral, vestibular, and proprioceptive movements, fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, balance and coordination, hand-eye coordination, visual spatial skills, and math skills. It was so so much fun!
Mr. Avery was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, and morning greetings.
After morning circle we spent a good majority of the morning engaging in some social problem solving, emotions, feelings, and regulation/ co-regulation breaks.
Once everyone was regulated and happy, we were ready for snack and recess. After recess we used our fine motor skills to male some cool Easter Bunny hats.
Our little rabbits!
In gym today we continued to play a fun dodge ball game called, Doctor Dodge. We worked with our friends in Ms. Andrea and Ms. Jessica's classes on sportsmanship and teamwork. The boys also utilized their bilateral, vestibular, and proprioceptive movements, fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, balance and coordination, hand-eye coordination, and visual spatial skills.
The entire afternoon was dedicated to our Easter Party!!! The boys had so much fun socializing and interacting with their peers. Ms. Liz, Mr. Nahi, Mr. Rylan, and all of the TA's put so much time and effort into this party to make it such a huge success. The boys enjoyed Easter eggs, scavenger hunt, photo booth, messy/ sensory play, obstacle course, face painting, feed the bunny mini putt, bunny bowling, bunny baskets, treats, and so much more! : )
