Happy Thursday Parents and Carers!

The week is flying by, my oh my. Our friend Zachary was back at school today and the boys were extremely happy to see him.

We began the day by playing Magic Squares, Magical Chairs, and Bean Bag Crashes! These are all good activities for team building, sportsmanship, gross motor skills, bilateral, vestibular, and proprioceptive movements, as well as fun!

Here is Mr. Eric going through our morning session, which works on time, calendar work, the weather, social skills, language and communication, math, writing skills, and emotions and feelings.

Here are the boys having a blast making up their own instruments in art class with their friends at St. Judes.

At recess the boys had fun in the snow making snow angels.

During Minute to Win It we worked on our concentration and focus, hand-eye coordination, proprioception skills, bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, math skills, time management, sportsmanship skills, and how to work through our emotions.

We started off the afternoon by playing "Shark & Lifeguard" with two classes from St. Judes. It was so much fun and all of the boys had a chance to be either a shark, life guard, or both!

Before the sensory gym we worked on our money skills and coin knowledge and understanding. Here are the boys going over all of the Canadian coins.

In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.

At the very end of the day we participated in a fun and challenging Team Building Game. The boys had to create a structure using straws, play-doh, and elastic bands, that would hold up four marshmallows. the marshmallows couldn't touch the desk or play-doh, and the marshmallows could not be punctured by the straws. A great game for problem solving, abstract thinking, teamwork, sportsmanship, fine motor skills, oral and two way communication, and math skills.

Have a great evening and see you tomorrow!

Mr. Jacob : )
