We had three friends in today, and unfortunately for the rest of the week. But we will be seeing him next week on Monday!
Everyone had very busy bodies to begin the day. So naturally, we went for bean bag crashes and dancing before morning circle. Evan also did very well participating in and planning his own sensory obstacle course.
Mr. Avery was our teacher today and led us through time, time management, weather, months, weeks, days, and how we were feeling today.
Checking out Evan's math tricky math question.
Here are the boys making some cool puppet dragons, wool panda bears, and paper plate monkeys for International Day! We also looked at Chinese money, animals, food, and geography.
In gym today we continued playing the fun team building game called "Backyard". The game utilizes our fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, vestibular and proprioceptive movements, motor planning, and sportsmanship.
During Minute to Win It we worked on our concentration and focus, hand-eye coordination, proprioception skills, bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, math skills, time management, sportsmanship skills, and how to work through our emotions.
In social skills we continued to look at different countries from around the world. Especially countries where some of our friends have been before, and where their families are from. Next, we made our own passports, got on a plan, and travelled to some cool places!
In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.
Have a relaxing evening gentlemen!
Mr. Jacob : )
