The boys were missing their friend Zachary again today, and we hope he will be back with us tomorrow!
While Eric and Avery played a Math Accuracy game with Ms. Amber, Evan and I had fun in the gym completing his sensory circuit.
Here is Evan joining William, Sander, and Ms. Andrea during a counting and skipping activity.
Evan is going through his very own obstacle course, which works on his vestibular movements, proprioceptive movements, gross motor skills, motor planning, balance and coordination, and bilateral movements.
Evan is helping Eric during a regulation session before morning circle. Deep pressure squishes with relaxing and calming music.
Our morning circle began with great discussion, practice, and application of time and clock skills. Here we are going over when we woke up, when school starts, and looking at AM and PM times.
Evan was our teacher today and is shown here greeting his peers.
In Math today we got to set up our 'Lego World' store and use our money skills, addition and subtraction, two way communication and oral communication skills, marketing and selling skills, as well as using a cash register,.
During Language Arts we created (cut out, folded, and pasted) our own pizza dice. The boys then engaged in a math/ language Minute to Win It activity where they had to roll their di and draw the ingredients on their pizza in one minute. The boys followed this by writing and adding up how many ingredients they put on their pizza in one minute.
Here are the boys running around and having fun with their friends in Ms. Jessica and Ms. Andrea;s classes. We played "Donkey Kong" tag today and everyone was so excited for this new game. This was a great game to practice our gross motor skills, coordination, proprioceptive movements, bilateral movements, sportsmanship, teamwork, and endurance.
During Minute to Win It we worked on our concentration and focus, hand-eye coordination, proprioception skills, bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, math skills, time management, sportsmanship skills, and how to work through our emotions.
We played several fun thinking games in Social Skills with our friends, where we used our memory skills, math skills, memory skills and language skills. The boys also had fun engaging in partner play by using dinosaurs and trains.
In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.
To end the day, during Train Your Brain, the boys completed their Preposition Booklets from last week.
Have a good night and see you all tomorrow!
Mr. Jacob : )
