Happy Tuesday Parents and Carers!

The boys came in full of energy and conversation after the long weekend. Not only were we happy to see our friends and share stories about the weekend, we also had our Home Depot trip today!

Everyone did so well listening to staff, staying in their buddy system, choosing their own plant, and using their own money at the checkout by conversing with the cashier! The boys utilized their safety skills in the parking lot, on the bus,  and inside the busy store.  They also had to demonstrate two-way communication skills, reading skills, money skills, number sense and numeracy skills, and social and life skills.

Finding the perfect plant!

Paying for our plants by using our money skills.

Discussing what kinds of plants we want to purchase.

Silly group photo with some Usain Bolt poses! Haha

Eric and Zachary playing Home Depot employee and customer. Haha

"Hmm, there are too many choices Mr. Jacob!"

"Look what we found!"

After our great trip the boys had snack and recess with their friends. Afterwards they engaged in some Partner Play/ Social Skills time with their friends from Ms. Andrea and Ms. Jessica's class. They did very well with their turn taking, playing fair, sharing, communicating, problem solving, and working on emotions and feelings.

In Gym class today we played dodgeball with our friends from Ms. Andrea's, Ms. Ella's, Mr. Scott's, and Ms. Jessica's classes. The boys demonstrated great auditory processing skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.

This afternoon was our fourth swimming session! The boys and I were very excited and the boys did so well in the pool. Everyone followed our rules, worked well with the pool staff, and remained regulated for the entire duration. We demonstrated teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, coordination, auditory processing skills, body and safety awareness.

Have a great sunny Tuesday gentlemen! See you tomorrow for some gardening, track & field practice, and Peter Pan practice!

Mr. Jacob : )
