The boys and I began the day by practicing long jump for the upcoming track meet. They all did so well and almost beat me even! Haha They demonstrated sportsmanship, motor planning, gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
Before morning circle the boys wanted to show their acting skills by pretending to be.....ME!

Mr. Zachary was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, and morning greetings.
While Mr. Evan had his 1:1 session with Ms. Leah, Eric and Zachary worked out a social problem together. Afterwards, they decided to make and test out a boat together. Everyone estimated how many dominoes the boat would hold before it sank it the bottom. They demonstrated great teamwork, sportsmanship, oral communication skills, two way communication, fine motor skills, math skills, science skills, and creativity.
In Math today the boys did very well looking at nets, what 2D shapes make up specific 3D shapes, and sides, vertices, and edges. This is all new material and everyone did great together.
In Gym class today we played "What Time Is It Mr. Wolf". The boys demonstrated great auditory processing skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, and balance and coordination.
The afternoon began with a new Minute to Win It activity called, "Rubber Band Rip". It was extremely difficult, so we decided to complete an old one called "Lego Build". We all worked on our concentration and focus, hand-eye coordination, proprioception skills, bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, math skills and time management, sportsmanship skills, balance and coordination, and how to work through our emotions.
Rubber Band Rip- students had to measure the distance 80 cm from their seat to the toilet paper roll. Students then had one minute to fling elastic bands at damp toilet paper to see if they could rip it.
Lego Build- students had to grab two pieces of Lego at a time and see you could build the tallest tower in one minute.
In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math, time, phonics and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.
The boys did very well practicing their roles and lines for our Peter Pan play! We had lots of fun with our friends and demonstrated great oral communication skills, team work, creativity, motor planning, body awareness, and body language.
Have a great evening gentlemen and see you all tomorrow!
Mr. Jacob : )
