Happy Wednesday Parents and Carers!

Today was our busy, busy day preparing for tomorrow's party!

The boys, Ms. Amber and I started off the day by trying to decipher and correct Mr. Jacob's message. The boys did very well working together, raising their hand, turn taking, and using their spelling, grammar, writing, oral communication and language skills. Next, we wrote down our grocery lists for the shopping trip to No Frill's.

The boys wanted to get loose and move while waiting for Mr. Nahi to take us to the store. Ball tag is a great activity to help regulate and demonstrate great body and muscle awareness, proprioceptive, vestibular and bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, and sportsmanship.

The boys did fantastic at No Frill's today. They worked so well together and demonstrating great listening skills, money skills, number sense and numeracy skills, measurement skills, language and reading skills, and they used their muscles to load up the boxes and carry our groceries to the bus. We went over budget but ended up being under by $1.00 as well discussed how we could cut down our costs!

Arriving and grabbing our cart!

Looking for our groceries.

In Gym today we played a fun new game called "Star Catchers". Students had to divide themselves into four groups and pick a galaxy to stand on (yoga mat). Students had to allocate star catchers on their team to fly into space and grab a star one at a time. Students had to take turns and race against time, as well as steal stars from other galaxies (groups). The boys demonstrated great auditory processing skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math, and balance and coordination.

The boys did very well practicing their roles and lines for our Peter Pan play! We had lots of fun with our friends and demonstrated great oral communication skills, team work, creativity, motor planning, body awareness, and body language.

In the sensory gym we worked on our hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor planning, fine and gross motor skills, proprioception skills, vestibular and bilateral movements, math, time, phonics and rhyming skills, and balance and coordination.

In the afternoon we also found time to finish our monster table centre pieces for the party tomorrow! The boys had a lot of fun being creative and making their own monsters, while utilizing their fine motor skills.

Have a great evening gentlemen!

Mr. Jacob : )
