Right from the get go everyone was very excited to hand out Valentine's Day cards and treats! We spent a good 25 minutes delivering, sharing, and opening up all of our special treats from our friends.
Evan and Zachary delivering to students from the transition side.
Here we are singing the national anthem with Ms. Ella's class in our conjoined mock "assembly".
After assembly we were all excited for our Show and Tell session. The boys were very excited and we saw some new things today. Everyone had to describe their object, share why they brought it in, where they got it from, how long they have had it, and why it is so special.
Some Valentine's Day modelling action!
In art today everyone had to use different sized hearts (that they had to cut out and discuss symmetry), pom pom balls, googly eyes, cotton balls, glitter, pipe cleaners, and feathers to create a cool Valentine's Day person, animal, object, or thing. There were some very creative ideas for this fine motor and math-based art lesson.
After recess the boys asked for some sensory dancing, and we found a new Valentine's Day dance routine on Go Noodle! It was a blast!
In science today we recapped what we have been looking at regarding the five sense. Everyone participated in a fun 'Touch Receptors' activity with our friends from Ms. Andrea and Ms. Jessica's classes. It was a lot of fun and we utilized math skills, language skills, auditory processing, our senses, teamwork, and social skills.
Have a lovely long weekend and Happy Valentine's Day (on Sunday!)
Mr. Jacob : )
