Happy Friday Parents and Carers!

The week has absolutely flown by, and it was a huge success with our pizza making, gymnastics, field trip, and new activities in art and science.

As always, we began with some sensory dancing. Guided dancing and sensory circuits are both great activities to help regulate and demonstrate great body and muscle awareness, proprioceptive, vestibular and bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, and auditory processing.

Mr. Avery was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, and morning greetings.

The boys were very excited for our Show and Tell session, and we saw some new things today. Everyone had to describe their object, share why they brought it in, where they got it from, how long they have had it, and why it is so special.

For art today Ms. Jessica provided everyone with some tactile materials and different shaped objects. Each student had to get creative and make a 2-D or 3-D picture using various supplies, such as feathers, foam balls, pipe cleaners, foam rectangle, paper squares, etc. It was a fun and creative activity utilizing our math skills, fine motor skills, and problem solving skills.

In science we began looking at a new sense: our sense of smell. After completing a unit on sound and touch, Ms. Andrea introduced us to our sense of smell using various food. Our friends had to smell soy sauce, bbq sauce, plum sauce, ketchup, honey, and maple syrup without looking. Everyone got to guess what they smelt after each item. It was a lot of fun!

Lastly, we got to have some fun with our friends and celebrate Ohanji's 8th birthday!

Have a great weekend gentlemen!

Mr. Jacob : )
