Today was our dear friend Avery's 7th birthday! We had such a great day together and had some cupcakes and balloons at the end of the day to celebrate!
After assembly this morning we joined St. Judes' Grade 1 and 2 classes for some fun in the gym. The boys did a fantastic job working with other peers in separate groups. We played Four Corners today and everyone had to utilize their auditory processing skills, gross motor skills, motor planning, bilateral, vestibular, and proprioceptive movements, as well as teamwork and sportsmanship by working together in small groups.
Mr. Evan was our teacher today and led the class through time (past, present, and future), calendar work (years, months, days, and weeks), emotions and feelings, morning greetings.
For math today we yet again looked at fractions by playing our pizza fractions game, and starting a pizza fractions art activity.
Silly pizza faces : )
Gymnastics was yet again a huge hit and success for everyone. The boys demonstrated excellent patience, listening skills, and movements in gymnastics today. We worked on our balance and coordination, proprioceptive, vestibular, and bilateral movements, sportsmanship, gross motor skills, and motor planning.
