Hello Parents and Carers!

The boys have finished another great day of learning, movement, and problem solving!

We stared off the day completing a sensory circuit to help us regulate and manage our busy bodies before doing work in class.

After our great work out the boys needed some quiet/relaxation time in the classroom. We put on some nice calming music, got out our gym balls and bean bag chair, and did some deep pressure squishes and breathing exercises.

Here's Evan leading our Morning Circle by 'playing teacher' in his bean bag chair after our regulation time.

In Math today, we went on a Dino Hunt and explored the playground for dinosaurs. We then estimated how big they are, and actually measured their proper size. It was cold but loads of fun!

After morning snack and recess the boys participated in a problem solving/ time management activity with our friends in Ms. Hope and Ms. Andrea's class. All of our friends wanted to do different activities and we discussed how we could fit in everyone's activity, how we could vote, how we could get into three groups of two, and how to fit in our activities in a specific time frame.

In Gym we had fun playing Huckle Buckle with our friends in Ms. Jessica, Ms. Hope, and Ms. Andrea's classes.

"Huckle Buckle ear to foot!"

Minute to Win It started off our afternoon with some great concentration, focus, and sportsmanship.

In Social Skills the boys had a blast playing charades with their friends. There was lots of discussion, predictions, acting, turn taking and looking at various emotions.

The Sensory Gym was a lot of fun today as everyone got to try out the aerobic rings! We also worked on our fine and gross motor skills, bilateral movements, balance and coordination, sequencing, proprioception skills, and sportsmanship.

Lastly, the boys participated in two team building activities: Magic Squares and Save George the Gummy. In order for these two activities to be successful, the boys must all work together, complete actions in unison, engage in problem solving, and be team players!

Have a great night and see you tomorrow!

Mr. Jacob : )
