Good evening Parents and Carers!

The boy/boys had a great Wednesday today. One of our friends is on vacation (jealous), and another friend had an appointment this morning. Therefore, we only had one friend in our class for most of the morning activities.

Here is our friend going over our morning circle routine, sharing his feelings, and working on time management.

Next, we created our very own sensory circuit in the auditorium and timed how long it took us to complete it. The first run took us 1 minute and 59 seconds, whereas the second run only took us 1 minute and 42 seconds!

During math, our friend looked at estimation and measurement in metres. We also role played shop keeper and used money and weight when buying and selling items.

In Language Arts, we read a book called Cool Down and Work Through Anger. There was lots of great conversation, examples from real life, application and demonstrations.
Here is our friend demonstrating our heart beat when we are feeling 'just right', 'too fast', and 'little slow'.

We added news things to do when we are upset on our class list. These great ideas were created by all of the students, and help us cool down and work through our emotions.

We had some fun with Ms. Jessica's class during partner play and Floortime.

After lunch our two friends worked on a team building activity. They were given a hula hoop and six orange pylons, and informed that the hula hoop cannot touch the green laser grid on the floor. They had one minute to complete this task and accomplished it with time to spare!
After completing the activity we got a little excited and accidentally knocked it down! Haha

We continued to finish our race cars in Science with our partners from other classes. Everyone had different, yet creative and amazing designs. After the finishing touches, some of us got to do a pre-test trial for our experiment on Friday.

Two of our friends had a blast in the Sensory Gym working on bilateral movements, proprioception, vestibular movements, balance and coordination, gross and fine motor skills, and sportsmanship.

We finished the day off by re-reading a super power story that contained all of our weekly spelling words. The boys then had to brainstorm different super powers that they could use to help people. We had some very creative and awesome super powers come to mind. The session was finished by writing our sentences in our journals, and then drawing a picture of our special powers.

Have a happy end to your Wednesday friends and see you tomorrow!

Mr. Jacob : )
