The boys had an extremely busy and productive day today!
As usual, Evan began the day with his Sensory Circuit while Eric and I completed a fun Math & Auditory Processing game.
Eric did very well practicing his hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, auditory processing, and math skills.
Here is Evan working on his Sensory Circuit with Mr. Jared.
Evan is shown helping Eric with our time management skills and going over our daily time table.
Here is Evan playing teacher and going over the calendar, time management, and our feelings.
Eric did very well going over the day, week, month, and concept of time.
Eric is hard at work completing his JUMP Math time worksheets.
The boys needed some regulation time and decided to wear a "pink wig" while carrying out bean bag crashes.
During Partner Play the boys decided to build super heroes and give them special powers!
Eric is showing off his dance moves in preparation for the Christmas Concert.
Eric is hard at work practicing his phonics skills and learning about digraphs and blending.
Before our friends arrived for gym we got to have some fun on the bikes! Woohoo!
Here we are playing Shipwreck/ Octopus Tag with our friends from Ms. Jessica and Ms. Andrea's classes.
Our afternoon Minute to Win It session! A lot of focus, concentration, determination, and sense of pride was evident by all.
In Social Skills today we recapped our previous Science lesson on textures, surfaces, and speed. Here we are hard at work in a whole group and partner session.
Eric and Jordan testing out different surfaces for speed.
We had another great session in the Sensory Gym going practicing motor planning, sequencing, vestibular movements, bilateral movements, fine and gross motor skills, balance and coordination, proprioception skills, and sportsmanship.
At the end of the day we went through two fun Team Building activities. The first one, Magic Squares, entailed the boys to work together and try and figure out the imaginary route through the magic squares board.
The next activity is called Land Mines or Mine Field, which entails auditory processing and positional & directional knowledge. One friend was blindfolded while the other friend gave them directions through a "mine field". If the blindfolded friend hit a "mind" the team had to start from the beginning. They both did superb for their first time!
Have a great night friends and see you tomorrow!
Mr. Jacob : )
